ITINERARY:
DAY 01: YANGON – AMMAN [VIA DUBAI]
Depart Yangon on board your flight to Amman by Emirates Airlines. Enjoy in-flight meals and services.
DAY 02: JORDAN AMMAN [B/L/ D]
Upon arrival in Amman airport, proceed to meet our arrival transfer representative. Begin tour as we drive to Madaba, land of fruits and water where you can see the first Holy Land Map. Continue to Mt. Nebo, believed to be the burial site of Moses. Proceed to your hotel for check in. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Amman.
DAY 03: AMMAN (PETRA EXCURSION) [(B, L, D]
After breakfast, first visit the fabled “Red Rose City” of Petra, the 2000-year-old Nabatean capital, now one of the world’s wonders. Take a horse ride to the Siq(Siqit). Then walk to the Treasury, a rose colored monumental building artfully carved out of sheer rock. Continue to visit the other temples and tombs carved into the mountainside. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
DAY 04: AMMAN – ALLENBY BORDER- QUMRAN – DEAD SEA – GALILEE – NAZARETH [B, L D]
Breakfast at your hotel. Start journey to Allenby border (this is the border of Israel and Jordan). Bundle up with loads of patience as the queue in the border will take a while. After immigration, WELCOME TO ISRAEL – The Promise Land. Drive to Jericho, the city that Joshua destroyed AND THE OLDEST CITY IN THE WORLD to see the Sycamore Tree and Mount Temptation. After lunch, continue to Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Then proceed on to the Dead Sea, the lowest spot on earth. Experience floating on its mineral rich waters. Enjoy dinner and overnight at your hotel Nazareth, Israel.
DAY 05: MAY 24 NAZARETH-MT. TABOR-GALILEE- NAZARETH [B L D]
After breakfast, drive to Mount Tabor to visit the Church of Transfiguration. Then drive back to Galilee area to visit the Beatitudes Church where Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount. Start your tour to visit the Church of the Primacy of St. Peter and Tabgha where Jesus performed the multiplication of the loaves and fish. Continue to Capernaum where you will see a 4th century Synagogue and St. Peter’s House. Take a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Then, proceed to Yardenit, a baptismal site on the Jordan River. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
DAY 06: MAY 25 NAZARETH – HAIFA – CAESAREA – JERUSALEM – BETHLEHEM [B, L, D]
After breakfast, continue to Cana where Jesus changed the water into wine. Couples will renew their marriage vows in the Church of Cana. Next stop is Nazareth. It is here where the Angel Gabriel appeared before Mary and where Jesus spent his boyhood. Visit the Church of the Annunciation and St. Joseph’s workshop and the home of the Holy Family. Continue to Mount Carmel in Haifa, Israel’s third largest city. See the Bahai Shrine and gardens. Drive to Caesarea, built by Herod the Great, where Peter baptized the centurion Cornelius. See the Aqueduct. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.
DAY 07: MAY 26 BETHLEHEM – JERUSALEM NEW CITY -BETHLEHEM [B, L, D]
Start your day with delicious breakfast at your hotel. Then, drive to the Mount of Olives for a breathtaking view of the city. Visit the Pater Noster Church, the Dominus Flevit, then walk along Hosanna Road to the Garden of Gethsemane to visit the Church of All Nations which stands on the Rock of Agony where Jesus was betrayed by Judas. We then drive to Mount Zion where we visit the Church of St. Peter in Galicantu (Cock’s Crow) on the site of the high priest Caiaphas House, the Last Supper Room, King David’s Tomb, the famous Dormition Abbey, St. Peter’s Church. Enjoy inner and overnight at your hotel.
DAY 08: MAY 27 BETHLEHEM – JERUSALEM OLD CITY – BETHLEHEM [B, L, D]
Breakfast at your hotel. Then enter the Old City. Stop at the Pool of Bethesda, where Jesus healed a blind man. Visit the Church of St. Anne, then follow the Via Dolorosa (14 Stations of the Cross) starting at the Church of Flagellation (Lithostratos) to the Church of The Holy Sepulchre, visit to the Garden Tomb and Golgotha (Calvary) for a moment of Holy Communion and Meditation. On to Mount Moriah to visit the Western Wall. Proceed to Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus. Visit the Church of Nativity and the Shepherd’s Field. Overnight in your hotel in Bethlehem.
DAY 09: MAY 28 BETHLEHEM – JERUSALEM – TABA BORDER – ST. CATHERINE [B, L, D]
After breakfast at the hotel, we check out and drive to Eilat the winter resort of Israel. Cross Taba Border (the border of Israel and Egypt). On arrival in Israel side of border, disembark and pass immigration. After passing through immigration formalities, walk to Egypt side where our representative welcomes the group. Drive to St. Catherine for hotel check in. Enjoy dinner and Overnight.
DAY 10: MAY 29 ST. CATHERINE – CAIRO (Mt. Sinai, Sharm-El-Sheik) [B, L, D]
OPTIONAL: For those who are the adventurous and daring, early morning departs at around 12midnight for mountain climbing on Mt. Sinai where the Ten Commandments were given to Moses. For the rest of the pilgrims, who are not apt to this activity, enjoy the rest of the night until wake up time for breakfast. All pilgrims now check out of the hotel early in the morning around 8:00 AM. Commence your tour to a visit to St. Catherine Monastery (If open). Then drive to Sharm El Sheik, a famous beach resort in Egypt, in time for lunch break. Then proceed onto a long drive to Cairo, capital of Egypt and check in at the hotel. Enjoy dinner at the hotel and overnight.
DAY 11: MAY 30 CAIRO [B, L, D]
After breakfast, start the day at the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, housing the gold treasures of Tutankhamen. See a wonder of the ancient world: The Pyramids of Giza and the nearby Sphinx. Enjoy the dinner cruise and show on the Nile River. Return to your hotel for overnight.
DAY 12: CAIRO – YANGON [B/ L, D]
Breakfast at the hotel then continue to Hanging Church dating to the late 4th and early 5th Century. This Basilica was built on the top of the south gate of the Fortress of Babylon. Then Visit Church of Abu Sergah, built on the cave in which the Holy Family stayed and is regarded by visitors as a source of blessing. Transfer to the airport for your departure flight to Yangon, Myanmar.
DAY 13: ARRIVE YANGON and the service end!
