DAY 01: ARRIVAL YANGON – HALF-DAY CITY SIGHTSEEING [-/-/D]
Our tour guide will meet you up at Yangon International Airport and transfer to the hotel in Yangon. Visit the National Museum (closed on Mondays & holidays) where you can explore the history and culture of Myanmar. Then visit Bogyoke Aung San Market (closed Mondays & holidays) which displays a huge collection of Myanmar handicraft and souvenir. Proceed to the Golden Pagoda in the evening to enjoy the sunset and explore the unique culture, and traditions of the local people. Then enjoy a delicious dinner at Myanmar Plaza. Overnight at the hotel in Yangon.
DAY 02: YANGON – THAN LYIN – YANGON [B/D/-]
After breakfast, drive out from the hotel for half an hour to visit the National Races Village. Explore traditional and cultural exhibits of the 8 major ethnic groups of Myanmar namely Kachin, Kayah, Karen, Chin, Bamar. Mon, Rakhine, and Shan, etc. Then continue to Than Lyin and visit ancient Old Portuguese Church, built in the 18th Century and now it is in ruin but the walls are still intact. Continue to visit Yele Pagoda of the river on a small island. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Then visit Kyaik Kauk Pagoda, a famous ancient pagoda on a hillock on the way back to Yangon. Upon arrival, you will join Yangon Sunset River Cruise and discover the primitive beauty along the banks as the sun gently sinks below the horizon of Yangon. Transfer back to the hotel and overnight at the hotel in Yangon.
DAY 03: YANGON – SITTWE [B/l/-]
After breakfast at the hotel, you will transfer to Yangon Airport for domestic departure to Sittwe by the morning flight. Visit Rakhine Cultural Museum. Lunch at a local restaurant. Then proceed to Mahacusala Monastery and Buddhist Museum. Dinner at hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Sittwe.
DAY 04: SITTWE – MRAUK U [B/L/D]
After early breakfast at the hotel, you will transfer to Jetty for the boat trip along the Kalatan River to Mrauk U, the ancient Capital of the Arakanese Kingdom and a very important archeological site of Western Burma. Enjoy the beautiful scenery along the river on the way. After about 5hr boat trip, you will arrive in Mrauk U and check in the hotel. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Then, visit Mrauk U archeological zone, Royal Palace, and the unique styles of ancient Arakanese temples and pagodas such as Shittaung Pagoda, Andaw Thein Temple, Ratanabon Pagoda – tooth relic of the Buddha, Htauk Kan Thein- noted for the interesting stone sculptures, Laung Bwon Brauk Pagoda. Enjoy dinner and overnight at the hotel in Mrauk U.
DAY 05: MRAUK U – SITTWE [B/l/-]
After breakfast at the hotel, you will transfer for the return boat trip to Sittwe. Lunch at a local restaurant in Sittwe. Then, take the return flight to Yangon in the afternoon. Enjoy your dinner and overnight at the hotel in Yangon.
DAY 06: YANGON – PYAY/ SRI KESTRA [B/ L/ -]
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Pyay (Prome) by car for about 6 hours driving. Explore the Pyay’s excavated archaeological sites reflect the Pyu Kingdoms that flourished for over 1,000 years between 200 BC and AD 900. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Pyay. After lunch, visit UNESCO World Heritage-listed ancient Pyu capital of Sri Ksetra (Thayekhittaya). Visit the museum, brick-built Baw Baw Gyi Pagoda and Royal Cemetery, Shwesandaw Pagoda in the center of the Pyay City. Dinner at outside local restaurant and overnight at the hotel in Pyay.
DAY 07: PYAY – YANGON [B/ L/ -]
After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll be returned back to Yangon. Lunch will be served at outside local restaurant on route. Then proceed to the Yangon International Airport. Enjoy your free time until your international flight departure back home. Our service ends!
